There is going to be a special Boxing Day Scottish Session at the White Hart in Wolvercote from 4pm.
I’ve put together a handy list of the regular sessions in Oxford that you can print out (see below).
And I’m planning a new session: A Slow Celtic Session on the Fifth Sunday of the month (ie every three months, starting at the end of March 2026).
Happy playing for 2026!

Hi there! Merry Christmas! I’m an aspiring Celtic fiddler from Squamish, BC, Canada who would love to join in the Slow Sessions but Because of the time difference, it is Difficult to join in. Are the sessions recorded for others to enjoy? If so where do I find them? Thank you, Peach Myers

Dear Peach,
I’m sorry. I’m not sure if Discord offers a recording function. I’ve looked but not yet found it. However, you could wake up at 8am and set your phone to record the session on your own device and then play along later?? I’m not sure how much fun this would be as I think half the fun is doing it with other people at the same time… and I’m not sure that the sound quality via Discord is that good either! Also we need you to be logged in and writing in the chat if you want us to play a particular tune. Maybe join online a few times and then set up a slow session near you?
Good luck!
Best wishes and many good tunes for 2026!
