Maiden Lane

Maiden Lane is one of those easy popular session tunes. Three parts to learn but easy to play and pretty old as it was first published in The English Dancing Master by John Playford in 1651. No doubt you have already heard it somewhere and now you can join in with playing it.

Places to hear it:

Laurel Swift
Boldwood
Kerfuffle (ie Sam Sweeney as a young man)
Mandolin consort
Bagpipes
Mandolin
Fiddle and accordion (starting at 2.41)
