Michael has put together this really useful summary list of local to Oxford sessions, but it is also useful to check on Folk in Oxford, particularly their calendar which often includes gigs as well as sessions. Since Covid 2020, I fear that few of these are operating… but hopefully they will return… (crossed fingers).

So that makes 19 events per month ! Sadly, there are a couple of clashes, but as a rule of thumb, you can go to a session every other day without leaving town. If you’re prepared to travel a bit further, you can attend a session every day. And then there are lots of open mic nights as well as a few jazz sessions and the Oxford Improvisers.
