I fell in love with tune listening to Ryan Young playing it on his second album: Just a Second. It is an old tune composed by the eighteenth century Scottish composer, Abraham MacKenzie (1769-1807). Fortunately transcribed on thesession.com and Jon Fletcher helped me with some chords. I hope you enjoy it too!
After playing it at the July 2026 session, the whistlers complained that it was set too high, so I thought we could try again a fifth down (in D rather than A). So I’ve added the music for it in D.
