Last year the Jericho Canal musicians put on a fabulous ceilidh in St Barnabas church and one of the best dances and tunes that I heard that evening was this wonderful Flying Tweed (see video – Flying Tweed starts at 11 seconds in). Written by Jane Griffiths (of the fabulous Owl Light Trio), I didn’t manage to put the name to the tune until recently when I persuaded Jane to teach it to me. I fear that it will be hard to find recordings online so we may have to make some of our own.
