Happy (almost) February!

February’s (which starts this Sunday) Oxford’s Slow Session is on this Sunday, 1st February 2026, from 4pm, upstairs in The Slow and Steady, Abingdon Road (the former White House pub).

See link for menu if you would like to come along to lunch there beforehand –
Unfortunately the brunch is no more… (and the Sunday roast advertised on their website is not happening yet) but there are also lots of burgers, pizzas and sides. I will be there from 2.30pm setting up and having lunch, so feel free to join us.

The tune of the month for February is The Mouse in the Kitchen, which is tricky but a really great tune.

If you want to start planning ahead… some more good tunes coming…

1st March 2026 The Cat’s Meow
5th April 2026 The Mouse in the Cupboard
3rd May 2026 Looking at a Rainbow through a Dirty Window

For your diaries too…
I’m going to try hosting an extra session on the fifth Sunday of the month! (so four times a year) and the first one is on: 29th March 2026, 4pm Oxford Slow Celtic Session in the Slow and Steady

We will also have a Slow Session on 12th April 2026, 4pm as part of the Oxford Folk Festival (which does mean three sessions on three Sundays in a row!)
