Just to warn you that Jo changed his mind about one of the chords, so I’ve changed the Gm to a D (which I hope makes it easier to play) and updated it on the page and also on the All Tunes link for printing. Sorry for the short notice.
Added Lucy’s Farr’s
I’m hoping you’ll enjoy learning this one. It looks noodle-ly – (which is our expression for you have to remember where you are in the tune) but the tune itself is easy to play. I think if you listen to it first, it will be not so hard to learn as you think. Hope you enjoy!
Added Rights of Man
Not a difficult tune to find, but not quite so easy to play… anyway, by popular request (at March’s session), I’ve added Rights of Man. So sorry it’s taken me so long to finish putting it up… I ended up listening to many versions on Youtube trying to decide which ones to link to. Hope you enjoy.
Added the Galtee Hunt
I’ve added a page for the Galtee Hunt. Great tune but haven’t found many links to good videos yet… Please do add some if you find good ones.
Pearl Wedding in G
Finally got round to adding Pearl Wedding to the website. Treble and bass clef are done, now for the viola and flute version…
Added Keel Row
Added lovely lilting Keel Row to our list. A little tune to play with. There’s a good chance you know it already, and if not, I’m sure you’d like to be introduced.
New Year updates
Happy New Year for 2015!
I’ve finally managed to correct a few errors that we’ve picked up in the following tunes: Bonnie Kate, Booley House, Calliope House, Do you love an apple? and Hole in the Hedge. Also the All Tunes link for printing has been updated.
I hope you can manage to join us in 2015.
Best wishes, suke
New tune: Paddy Fahy’s Reel
I’ve finally managed to upload Paddy Fahy’s Reel. It’s taken me a while to learn so I definitely don’t expect us to play it this session (December) but I hope we might give it a try in the future. I think we might think about how to make arrangements for the instruments that find this range difficult. Hope you enjoy it!
Rusty Gully in Alto clef
Rusty Gully is a straightforward tune to learn by heart… and now we have it in all three clefs in the hope that this makes it easier to learn.
Added flute and viola part to Calliope House
I’ve had some requests to have extra forms of the written notes… so gradually here they come… Hope they prove useful.
