Shelley and her enthusiastic son, Key, are moving to San Francisco, but before they go, Shelley has organised a FREE concert in the JHB Lecture Theatre, in the main building of the Headington Campus of Brookes University on Sunday 20th (from 6.30-9.30pm) . There will be a first half of Chinese music organised by Shelley. And a second half of an Open Mic… and the Oxford Slow Session has been invited to contribute a couple of sets.
You can also volunteer yourself (email Shelley: stao@brookes.ac.uk) if you would like to perform something. And Shelley is also looking for someone (or some people to share) the compering, of introducing the performers.
For the Oxford Slow Session sets, I was thinking we could play Inisheer (with harmony parts) and then a set of Kerfunken and Out on the Ocean… How does that sound? I’m open to suggestions and please email me at oxfordslowsession2014@gmail.com to say that you will be joining us.
