I don’t know a great deal about this tune as Alex introduced us to it but I think it is widely played and opinions (and variations) vary greatly according to an entertaining debate on thesession.org.
Fortunately for us, Alex has found some places on youtube which play this variation and it’s not too difficult a tune to learn. Easier than Harvest home (but similar) and can be played straight, or swung (hornpipe style) or even Appalachian style. So thank you for Alex for finding these links and introducing us to this tune.
